Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented BIM Engineer / BIM Modeler with 1–2 years of experience in HVAC (Ventilation) modeling. The ideal candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering background and hands-on experience in developing accurate BIM models for building services projects. Exposure to international projects will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate BIM models for HVAC (Ventilation) systems using Autodesk Revit MEP
- Prepare coordinated HVAC models, shop drawings, installation drawings, sections, schedules, and other project deliverables.
- Interpret mechanical and construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop accurate BIM models.
- Coordinate HVAC models with other MEP disciplines (Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) to ensure clash-free designs using Navisworks and BIM coordination
workflows.
- Apply knowledge of HVAC systems, including ventilation, ducting, and piping layouts, while modeling and coordinating projects.
- Ensure compliance with BIM standards, project requirements, Level of Development (LOD), and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with project teams to incorporate design revisions and deliver projects within defined timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–2 years of experience in the BIM industry with a focus on HVAC (Ventilation) modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit MEP for HVAC modeling.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and model coordination.
- Strong understanding of HVAC engineering principles, including ventilation systems, duct routing, and piping layouts.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working on international BIM projects will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on international projects (Middle East, UK, Europe, Australia, or North America) will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of BIM workflows, LOD requirements, and project coordination processes.
- Understanding of relevant international HVAC and BIM standards is desirable.
